4/10/11! Project PEARLS coin assignment

Action- So last week, my mentor called me saying she had an idea in mind for Project PEARLS.  She invited me and a couple of other students doing Project PEARLS to her house.  When we got there she had Wing Stop for us.  Talk about the best mentor ever.

After we ate, we discussed the ways we could fund raise money for the children in the Philippines.  She said that 25$ could feed 100 children for a day.  So we gathered up jars which we could fill up with change or even dollar bills.

After we talked about the jars, we all will try to acquire donations from anyone who is willing to make a difference in someones lives.

Next Action-  Next we will meet up at our mentors house sometime this week to see how much money we collected.  When we arrive she'll have an assignment for us.  She wants to surprise us on what it's going to be.

How am I doing- Everything is going great, I'm just looking forward to graduation already.

4/2/11 27-27

Action-Today my mentor sent me a message about a possible fundraiser option.  The only thing i have to do is think of a way to go around to receive donations.

Next Action(When and Where) Our next action is yet to be announced, but it's going to be associated with this donation boxes or vending at a certain location

How am I doing?-  As i continue to help Project PEARLS I feel more part of the organization.  I feel I am responsible for the lives in need in the Philippines, because I am actually making a difference..
